College and University
Students not taking part in Auditions
There are a number of activities for college and university students at the festival who decide not to take part in the transfer auditions or the SETC preliminary auditions.
First, there are theatrical performances going on throughout the festival. The Theatre for Youth division, the Secondary Schools division, and the Community Theatre division all present productions as a part of their festival activities.
In addition, there are approximately sixty-five workshops being presented. These workshops are offered by professionals and professors from the variety of colleges and universities around Florida. They allow you to improve your skills. Workshops in the past have ranged from tap dancing, to improvisation techniques, to learning to speak in a foreign dialect, to improving design skills, to computerized drafting.
If you are deciding to attend the festival, you should check with your faculty advisors to see if they are bringing a group of students, and will be doing the costs for registration as a group.
If you are attending the festival individually WITHOUT faculty/staff supervisors and are not auditioning or interviewing, you must use the “Individual Membership Form” and pay the $35.00 registration fee (includes festival t-shirt).
