Idol Application

Rules & Regulations

1. FTC Idol is open to anyone registered for the Festival.
2. Talent entries may consist of any of the following: song, monologue, dance, pantomime or stand up comedy.
3. Each contestant is allowed up to four (4) minutes performance time.
4. Contestants perform on Thursday or Friday evening at the Lakeland Center. The finalists perform on Saturday evening at the Florida Theatre Conference closing event.
5. Florida Theatre Conference selects the order of performance and the evening of the contestant’s performance. This is based upon the number and variety of entries.
6. A piano is provided, but the contestant is responsible for the accompanist. A CD player is provided.
7. Audience members may vote for contestants on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Each vote costs $1.00. Votes will be combined with the judge’s scores to improve contestants position in the standings.
8. Decisions by judging panel are final.
9. Cash Awards! First Place $200.00 Second Place $100.00.
