Information for Individual's Interested in FTC
If you're a lover of theatre, membership in FTC is a great way to know about Florida Theatre. You will receive the newsletter keeping you apprised of theatrical activities and people. You also can attend the Florida Theatre Conference.
The festival gives you the opportunity to see the activities of the Secondary Schools Division, the Theatre for Youth Division, and the Community Theatre Division. In addition, you can see what your colleagues are doing in the workshops they present at the conference. Even better, you may want to present a workshop on your own.
As usual, The Theatre for Youth Division will host a number of activities, with the festival of performances on November 3 as the highlight. New this year, performance awards and best overall show award will be given.
Events going on at the festival that may interest you are:
- Southeast Theatre Conference Preliminary Auditions - Friday-Saturday
- Community College Transfer Auditions - Thursday
- Design/Tech Transfer Interviews - Thursday
- Workshops conducted by professionals and college professors for high school, university, and college students - Wednesday - Saturday
- Performances in the Community Theatre, Secondary Schools, and Theatre for Youth divisions
- Performance Awards and Best Overall Show Awards will be given
