Theatre for Youth

The 2007 Florida Theatre Conference Festival will be held October 31 - November 4, 2007. As usual, the Theatre for Youth Division will host a number of activities, with the Festival of Performances as the highlight. If you are interested in bringing your group to take part in the performances, please fill out both the Performance Submission Form and Group Registration Form, fill them out using Adobe Acrobat 7 and mail them with your enclosed check.

 

If you are interested in teaching a workshop, please fill out the workshop presentation form, using Acrobat 7, and mail it to the FTC Executive Director.

 

What are We?

 

The Theatre for Youth Division includes elementary, middle, and high school performing arts groups, as well as adults performing for young audiences.

The Theatre for Youth Division of the Florida Theatre Conference provides numerous activities at our annual festival in Lakeland. They include:

• Workshops and seminars for:
  • Theatre educators
  • Arts management professionals
  • Students of theatre.
• The Theatre for Youth Festival - Performing groups from around the state, representing all types of theatre for young audiences travel, to the annual festival to showcase their works. Performances are free to the public and to groups from nearby Lakeland schools.

 

By being a member of Florida Theatre Conference, individuals and organizations can become involved in the only Theatre for Youth Activity in the state of Florida. By networking with one another, sharing successful strategies, marketing tips and new theatre games, we energize ourselves.
