THEATRE IS FOR EVERYONE!
The Florida Theatre Conference is a space that celebrates artistry in all abilities. We believe that theatre is a tool for impact and advocacy and should be accessible and inclusive to all.

How can we be more accessible for our community?
Here at FTC, we are working on awareness: how can we be a space where neurodivergent individuals and individuals with disabilities can feel comfortable and confident while they create and connect with others?
Let us know how we can be more aware and be more inclusive. Fill out the conference survey and help us take steps to make Florida Theatre a place where all belong!
Inclusion At the
Conference
Below are resources and events at past conferences that are part of our Inclusion Division. Come join us and help us make theatre for everyone!
Quiet Room
Need a moment to process and breathe? The FTC For All Quiet Room is available throughout the conference.
Inclusion Division Table
Come say hi and let us know how we can be a more inclusive artistic space for you and other performing artists.
Let’s Talk About: Theatre and Inclusion
Come meet (and bring your lunch!) with FTC Board Members Sara Brunow and Zach Rivera as they facilitate a conversation about neurodiversity and disability in theatre and how we can make community using our artform.
Lights Up on the Dark: Audio Description for Blind Audiences
Discover how theatre is brought to life for the low vision and blind community through the words and descriptions of an audio describer. This 90-minute workshop will open your eyes to how your theatre, your performance and your community can be transformed by making the performing arts accessible to this underserved audience. Learn the what’s and how’s of Audio Description with a trained audio describer, hear the perspective of a member of the low vision/blind community that is also a performer and practice the skills to create an audio described piece!
